What do digital instructions cost compared with paper?

The cost depends less on the software than on the process: if you ship every machine with printed instructions today, you pay for printing, storage and reprints whenever something changes. Digital provision removes this in the normal case – you only supply paper on request at the time of purchase. For machinery intended for consumers, however, the essential safety information always stays on paper.

Questions about pricing and plans

What is a machine type?

A machine type is a model or product line with its own QR code and its own documents – for example “Band saw BS-400”. How many units of it you sell does not affect the price.

Do archived machines count towards my plan?

No. Archived machine types no longer count towards your plan. Their QR code and all documents remain publicly available.

Are the mandatory features included in every plan?

Yes. Fixed QR code, scan page in 26 languages, paper copy requests with deadline, version archive and audit trail are part of every plan. Higher plans add features for larger teams and brands.

Can I add more users?

No. Each plan includes a fixed number of users – 2 (Starter), 5 (Professional) or 15 (Business); Enterprise includes unlimited users. If you need more, switch to a larger plan. Read-only accounts count as users.

Can I try ManualPass for free?

Yes. Every new account can test ManualPass free of charge for 14 days – without payment details. Afterwards you choose your plan under “Account & plans”. Without a plan you can no longer edit anything, but your scan pages and QR codes remain available.

How can I pay?

By credit or debit card (e.g. Mastercard, Visa) via the payment provider Stripe, or by invoice with 14 days’ payment terms. Billing is annual, in advance; invoices are emailed automatically and available as PDF in your account.

How long am I committed?

The term is 12 months. Unless you cancel at least 30 days before the end of the contract year, the contract automatically renews for a further 12 months. You cancel in your account under “Account & plans”; details are set out in the terms and conditions.

Do I need a demo appointment?

No. You create your account yourself and can add your first machine type straight away. The live demo shows in advance what the scan page looks like for your customers. For Enterprise, please contact us.

Are prices net?

Yes. All prices are exclusive of statutory VAT. Contract terms are set out in the terms and conditions.
